bu sekilde bir hata almaktayim neden kaynaklandigini tam anlayamadim ve agent yuklemeye calistigimda da agent hata vermekte yuklememektedir yardim ederseniz sevinirim...Hata sudur Agent operation failed. (ID 370) The protection agent operation failed on xppc.demon.com. (ID 303)

sistemde isa servermı varsa dpm portunu açman lazım
yada yok ıse client tarafında guvenlık duvaranı kapatıp deneye bilirmisiniz

ISA Server ÖZel bir durum yok ise (DMZ bölgesi vb) DPM Agent yüklenmesi için herhangi bir hata vermeyecektir. Problem kaynağı ISA değildir.
Problem, resmi tam görmemek ile DPM için ayrılmış bulunan Diskin hazır olmamasından veya DPM için uygun olmamasından kaynaklanmaktadır. DPM disk tabanlı koruma sağladığı için yedek alınacak olunan diskin
- NTFS ile formatlanmış olması
- Yedek alınacak olunan Protection Client için , korunacak olan datanın boyutu kadar boşta alana sahip olması vb... gereksinimlerin tamamlanmış olması gerekmektedir.
Sahip olduğunuz hata da bunu söylemekte olup technet de belirtilen kayıt aşağıda ki gibidir.
Error 303: Agent operation with specified server failed. | · Another installation is running on the specified server. · The boot volume on the server is formatted as file allocation table (FAT). | · Wait for the installation to complete, and then retry the operation. · Convert the boot volume to NTFS file system if you have sufficient space. For more information about using the Convert command for converting FAT volumes to NTFS, see Microsoft TechNet article Convert ( http://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/?LinkId=50882). Review Microsoft Knowledge Base article 156560, "Free Space Required to Convert FAT to NTFS" ( http://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/?LinkId=50883). · If neither of these actions resolves the problem, restart the specified server and then retry the operation. |

arkadaşlar sistemde isa server var dpm ile ilgili nasıl bır role yazmam lazım isa da hangi portu kullanmakta dpm

Merhaba;
Sıkıntı ISA Server ile ilgili olmadığını var sayıyorum. ISa serverınız DPM ile Internal da bulunan clientlar arasında bir koruma sağlamıyorsa eğer ISA Server bu işleme müdahale etmeyecektir.
Sorununuz yedeklerin alınacak olduğu diskler ile ilgilidir.
Yorumumdan sonra sorunuza cevap vereyim,
DPM 2007 Agent yüklenmesi için aşağıda ki portların izinli olmasını istemektedir.

Depending on your network configuration, you may need to perform firewall configuration to enable communication between DPM, the file servers, and the domain controllers. To help with firewall configuration, Table 4.3 provides details about the protocols and ports used by DPM.

DCOM | 135/TCP Dynamic | The DPM control protocol uses DCOM. DPM issues commands to the file agent by invoking DCOM calls on the agent. The file agent responds by invoking DCOM calls on the DPM server. TCP port 135 is the DCE endpoint resolution point used by DCOM. By default, DCOM assigns ports dynamically from the TCP port range of 1024 through 65535. You can, however, configure this range by using Component Services. For more information, see Using Distributed COM with Firewalls ( http://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/?LinkId=46088). |
TCP | 3148/TCP 3149/TCP | The DPM data channel is based on TCP. Both DPM and the file server initiate connections to enable DPM operations such as synchronization and recovery. DPM communicates with the DPM Agent Coordinator on port 3148 and with the file agent on port 3149. |
DNS | 53/UDP | Used between DPM and the domain controller, and between the file server and the domain controller, for host name resolution. |
Kerberos | 88/UDP 88/TCP | Used between DPM and the domain controller, and between the file server and the domain controller, for authentication of the connection endpoint. |

NetBIOS | 137/UD 138/UDP 139/TCP | Used between DPM and the file server, between DPM and the domain controller, and between the file server and the domain controller, for miscellaneous operations. |

bu hataları almaktayım isa da all outbound trafic allow şekilde ayarladım ama yinede yok elimdeki xp makinaya agent yuklemeye calıstıgımda bu hatayı alıyorum
Enteresan olan şu elimdeki diger 2003 sp2 r2 makinaya agent kurulumunu yapıyor.
Bu arada disk olayına açıklık getirdiğiniz için teşekkürler o sorunu atladık.Sorun xp makinaya agent yüklemede var artık..
